More entries on my page “Links to Other Sites”

I recently attended an organ / french horn concert; heard some awesome music that inspired me to learn some new songs.  So I went searching on the Internet and found two super sites for getting music cheap or free.

CD Sheet Music makes classical music available very cheaply!  They scan music that is out of copyright and no longer available from the publishers and send you a library of sheet music on a cd for a very small amount of money.  I got the Baroque Organ Collection for $20; it is a library of over 1,000 sheets of music!  An awesome deal!

8notes has a wide variety of music for lots of instruments and voices for free downloading!  You can’t do much better than that!

While doing some Internet searching for general resources for my organ playing, I came across “Secrets of Organ Playing”.  It is a site hosted by Dr. Vidas Pinkevicius where he provides a wealth of information for organists.  Some of it is free of charge; some of it via subscription; some is available for direct purchase.  All of it looks wonderfully helpful, especially for organists like me who have had little, if any, formal training.  I’m looking forward to learning much from this website.

I hope you find the above sites helpful to your music playing.
